Kin Kin State School

Situated 30 minutes from Noosa and 30 minutes from Gympie, Kin Kin State School is nestled in the hills of the Noosa Hinterland. We are an enthusiastic school community dedicated to students enjoying and valuing a meaningful schooling experience. Students, parents, staff and local community members collectively provide a learning environment reflective of the local community that supports students developing values and skills to become responsible learners and citizens.

We inspire students to have a passion for learning, be creative and innovative, have a healthy lifestyle, live with and embrace the environment, and think and work digitally. The Kin Kin State School’s commitment to being reflective of the local Kin Kin community is leading the management of programs to achieve the goal of our students becoming productive citizens of tomorrow. We have a one-to-one laptop program for our students in Years 6 and 7. Students in preps to year 7 are involved in kitchen and garden learning experiences though the Stephanie Alexander Foundation. All Kin Kin students are active participants in ensuring our school is an Earth Smart School.

We love Kin Kin State School!

All Kin Kin students collaborate with their parents and teacher to establish five learning goals in taking ownership of their own learning. We also foster student's creative interests by providing valuable learning experiences with our resident commercial artist, and by conducting a guitar club and Rock Band. The Kin Kin State school community also has strong links with its local community - Noosa Biosphere, Noosa Catchment Management, Kabi Organic Golf Course, Living Valley Springs (Health Retreat), Kin Kin Native Plant Wholesaler, Noosa Land Care and other local businesses that complement our capacity to ensure all our programs are productive and sustainable. The Kin Kin School Community prides itself in providing a fun, safe, caring and challenging learning environment that encourages students to be the best they can be.

The Kin Kin State School also runs the Kin Kin Playgroup, one of our teacher aides organises lots of craft and events throughout the year.
